The AstroLune implementation now lives in a Rust workspace. The earlier C/C++ design and custom contract languages no longer describe the network.
What runs today
Independent validator processes exchange authenticated messages, finalize native-payment blocks with a fixed genesis committee and recover committed state after a restart. Observer nodes verify and relay blocks without holding a consensus key.
The command-line wallet signs payments offline. Explorer reads a connected node's reported finalized blocks and accounts through a bounded, read-only gateway.
What is still being built
Weighted VRF selection, rotating committees, live PoTB weight activation and a production contract runtime remain open engineering work. Existing tests are evidence about implemented behavior, not a claim of independent audit or mainnet readiness.
A network with more than one audience
AstroLune is being built for individuals, developers and companies. The first useful interactions are deliberately concrete: send a test payment, inspect a block, run a node and integrate an application.
